Eventhough there are many similarities between the present Christianity and Islam, the parting ways (differences) are so obvious between the two groups of believers:-
i) The Christians believed in the concept of Trinity which is obviously Syirik (association of Allah with other gods) , contradictory to the concept of Tauhid (Oneness of Allah) as believed by the Muslims since the Prophet Adam A.s.
Trinity derived from the concept of Paganism emerged during the reign of King Constantine about 300 years after the time Jesus left the world.
ii) The Christians believed that Jesus has the divine power . They elevated Jesus to the level of God , whereas Muslims regarded Jesus nothing more than the Messenger of Allah . All the miracles happened during his time were merely with Allah’s permission.
iii) The Christians believed that Jesus died on the Cross , then he was elevated by God to Him after 3 days, but Muslims believe that Jesus had never been crucified on the Cross but Allah had elevated him to His Heaven. The person that had been hanged on the Cross was actually someone who had almost similar look like him.
iv) The Christians believed that mankind would achieve Salvation just by asking the pardon of their sins through Jesus . But Islam directs all the Muslims to do the good deeds in the lifetime, and whenever they make mistakes they just seek the Taubah (pardon or repention) from Allah The Almighty immediately. Someone will never carry the sins of other people . The prophet Isa or Jesus can never carry the sins of others.
Similarly the sins of Adam and Eve cannot be passed on to later generations. Infact Adam and Eve had already been pardoned by Allah .
v) The Christians believed that the Bible is the Holy Book revealed by the God , but Muslims believed that the current Old & New Tastements and Plasm (Tawrah, Injil and Zabur) are no more in the original forms but all had been corrupted by their own followers thousands years ago.
Because of that Allah Swt sent His last messeger Prophet Muhammad Saw with Al-Quran in order to correct all the Holy Books which had been totally corrupted by the previous generations.
vi) The present Christians , from the Pope to the ordinary followers, do not accept Prophet Muhammad as the last Messenger of Allah to the mandkind. The truth about Muhammad the Last Messenger was misteriously not mentioned by the Catholic and Protestant churches, eventhough the name of Muhammad were mentioned many times in the original Tawrah and Injil. Before the emergence of final Prophet , the Jews and Christians believed about the coming of the another Messenger but just because Muhammad was sent down by Allah from Arab tribe and not from Bani Israel then they totally rejected Rasulullah Saw . Many Jews and Christians had actually settled down around Yathrib or Medinah hundred years before the Hijrah of the Prophet Saw because they believed that the next prophet would be sent down somewhere in the Arab Peninsular. Muslims believed all the Messengers from Adam to Muhammad but the Christians believed all the Messengers except Muhammad . Bacause of that reason the Christians are regarded as Kufr (kafir).
